"Urban Micro-Aesthetics" is a new artistic movement for the future city. It not only responds to the historical and cultural heritage of the city but also explores the aesthetic direction of the future city.
In the 2025 art curation of "Central Axis · Urban Micro-Aesthetics", Rong Design Library centered on the annual core theme and carried out multiple groups of thematic dialogues through cross-temporal and cross-spatial artistic thinking.
Subsequently, the annual exhibitions will focus on multiple micro-aesthetic dimensions, covering diverse fields such as architectural and interior material aesthetics, local plant color libraries, sound aesthetics in scenarios, art installations and structures, and urban furniture. Multiple groups of artists and designers from different fields will adopt various creative methods to realize the multi-level practical presentation of these dimensions in urban spaces.
We look forward to a future where more ingenious micro-art material aesthetic designs enter every corner of the city. A bench, a street lamp, a bus stop, or even a trash can can all become carriers for designers' creations. Let art and design truly integrate into urban infrastructure and daily life, connect traditional cultural context with the future city, and allow this new artistic movement about the city to continue to grow.
