róng design exhibit - coloring

Coloring is hidden in almost every traditional Chinese handicraft. Whether it is Thangka, silk, ceramics, lacquer glass, enamel, and even papermaking, bamboo, and wood, each process has its own color system. The "Rong · Coloring" research attempts to systematically interpret Chinese traditional coloring thoughts and methods from the perspective of the designer, and summarizes the different relationships of color and materials into color sources, dyeing, burning, color application and discoloration. Based on this study, 19 designers conducted one-year design practice.
