The Yuhang Urban Micro Aesthetics "Rooted Plant-Based Color" Project employs traditional plant-based dyeing as its core medium. It began with systematic field research and scientific experiments on dye resources and agricultural waste across Yuhang’s wetlands, plains, hills, mountains, and urban ecosystems, extracting 30 distinct local plant colors.

From this, the project constructs four thematic color systems—Liangzhu, Agrarian ,Canal, and Zen Culture —each tracing the evolution of local civilization. Every color is derived from native natural materials and reflects the aesthetic character of its era, carrying deep cultural meaning.

By integrating ancient dyeing wisdom into contemporary urban renewal, the project provides a unique aesthetic resource for Yuhang’s city development, industrial innovation, and cultural tourism—empowering the future city with rooted color and humanistic identity.
