Nicole Goymann is a German designer with a degree in dressmaking and apparel design. After several years of experience in the textile and fashion industry, she has now established her own brand ―Juli Haral, focusing on interior design products.

The once hard cocoon is softened through boiling water and releases a single silk filament. By winding the silk strand and shaping the direction of its path, multiple design options in shoe design can be explored. The silk thread remains in place due to its natural glue that will harden after it comes in to contact with air. The name “Léi Zǔ” refers to the Chinese legendary empress, who invented the silk reel.
