Zhang Lei, Christoph John and Jovana Zhang are designers who come from three different countries and cultures. Since first meeting in Milan in 2010, they have been collaborating in Yuhang, China, developing their "From Yuhang" project. Each member has integrated their unique personality and cultural experiences, enriching PINWU with a distinct international flavor. 

Zhang Lei 
Product designer from China. Graduated from Domus Academy – Milan. Studying abroad, he discovered the importance of tradition and craft values in China. After returning to his homeland, his focus is to incorporate traditional art form in future design. 

Christoph John 
Furniture and car designer from Germany. Graduated from Domus Academy – Milan. His work experience in Germany, Finland and Italy has molded him into a designer with an eye for functionality, authenticity and sustainability.

Jovana Zhang 
Furniture and space designer from Serbia. Graduated from Belgrade University. Strong feminine qualities are integrated in her work. Working and living in Belgrade, London and Milan has influenced her taste and concentrated her focus on detail, simplicity and poetry in design.

“Air” is an unconventional interpretation of traditional Chinese bamboo weaving. The concept explores the limits of bamboo’s weight and strength. The result is a significantly lightweight chair with the same durability of a much heavier chair.
