Nowadays, bus ridership in rural areas has been declining, resulting in the gradual disuse of rural bus shelters. Qingshan Village has carried out proactive explorations in the renovation and renewal of bus shelters.
Designer Zhao Xing adopted a modular and industrialized design strategy to renovate the bus shelters in Qingshan Village. Through the combination of standard modules in varying quantities, the shelters can better adapt to diverse functional and spatial demands, significantly enhancing design flexibility and construction efficiency.
The renovated shelters incorporate additional display modules for the release of station information and promotional materials, strengthening their role in public service and information dissemination. Furthermore, the wooden materials employed in the shelters harmonize perfectly with the surrounding rural landscape, enabling the structure to blend naturally and elegantly into the village environment.
