In the summer of 2021, TEAM_BLDG was commissioned by Qingshan Village in Hangzhou to renovate the Longwu Spring Water Plant, which had been abandoned for years, into Qingshan Youth Community. The project aims to create a comprehensive Co-Living & Co-Working space integrating accommodation, office, exhibition and retail functions, serving those who come to the village for workcations, rural entrepreneurship and vacations.

The project is situated in front of Longwu Reservoir in Qingshan Village, adjacent to a biodiversity-rich mountain to the south and a stream to the north. It preserves the natural village texture of the settlement built along the water, with the renovation based on a three-and-a-half-story frame building, a gable-roofed house and a single-story auxiliary annex.

Adhering to the principle of integration with nature, the first floor is designed as a shared office area, with the east and west walls replaced by glass curtain walls with openable sections to achieve indoor-outdoor connection and natural lighting. The second and third floors are planned as accommodation areas; the southern walls and ceilings are opened up to create nature-friendly leisure zones at the end of guest room corridors. All functional areas complement and integrate with each other, activating the idle building while meeting the diverse development needs of the village.
