Paper lamp, Paper Cups

【Paper lamp】

作品一1.jpg

Paper lamp is made from a three-dimensional handcrafted paper illuminated by a light source positioned underneath. The lampshade is held in place by a single thin wire. This lamp brings together many impressions and experiences I had in China: the remarkable craftsmanship in papermaking, the endless variety available on Taobao (the light source was repurposed from a headlamp), and the incredibly fast delivery times (the aluminum 3D print was completed in just three days).

【Paper Cups】

作品二1.jpg

Paper Cups represent a research aimed at creating a natural alternative to transparent single-use plastic cups. The paper is handcrafted using three-dimensional molds and then coated with beeswax. The wax acts as both an adhesive and a sealant, providing stability to the delicate, paper-thin objects and most importantly makes the paper translucent.
