Róng Design Exhibit
"Róng" in Chinese means melt or fuse. This notion is at the core of the philosophy of “Róng Design Exhibition”.
“Róng Design Exhibition” launched in 2012, has so far invited more than 100 designers from different design fields such as product, furniture, fashion, jewelry, textiles, porcelain, photography and graphic design to analyze and deconstruct traditional Chinese materials and crafts and apply them to contemporary design.
The first exhibition lasted for 5 years and rethought and explored 5 thematic materials: bamboo, silk, earth, copper and paper. The second edition of the 5-year exhibition focuses on 5 thematic crafts, focusing on sunmao, coloring, weaving, casting and other crafts.
